Lazy Sunday

I'm still loving my Black Tie Optional mani from yesterday so I'm going to feature a manicure that I did last month.  I have this obsession with chic taupe mushroomy shades. I must have about 20 of them and have to restrain myself whenever I see a new one. My absolute favorites are OPI's You Don't Know Jacques and Berlin There Done That. Today I'm featuring Salma Hayek's Nuance polish Evening Haze. I was pleasantly surprised with this baby. The polish itself was a dream to apply. The formula was not too thick ....it flowed off the brush and self leveled on the nail. I achieved opacity in two coats. The accent nail was another surprise. Along with mushroomy colors..... I love love greys. This is KBShimmer's Elle. A gorgeous milky grey with shades of pink and grey glitter.  Enjoy !

Black Tie Optional

I call my blog  "Lacquer Therapy" because that's what painting my nails is.....therapy. I have a nice life don't get me wrong, I have a great husband, two wonderful kids and I truly do enjoy my job.  Sometimes though, I struggle with everyday things.  So, I like to come home from work, get things settled at the house and then relax by painting my nails.  It's my thing. I can focus on my mani and by the time I'm done, I'm happy. If I still happen to be frustrated over....whatever, I'll have a glass of wine.... But never before the mani because then it gets really messy!  So anyway, here's today's offering.

Sinful Colors Sugar Rush topped with Hard Candy's Black Tie Optional. The new polishes by Hard Candy are really great but BTO is exceptional. It's very reminiscent of some of the amazing indie polishes that are out there.  Enjoy!

I Finally Did It!

I've been obsessed with nail polish for just over a year now and lately I've given serious thought to starting a blog of my own. There are soooooo many wonderful blogs out there. Many of them I follow every day, so I hesitated because I wanted to be unique enough to get noticed. I have no idea what I'm doing....I have no idea how this will turn out but here we go!!!!


This is the manicure that I am currently rocking.  Hard Candy Crush on Ivy with a coat of Ozotic Sugar 904. I hope you like it
